Paddling to Baldface Mountain: An Adventure in the Adirondacks

Paddling to the Baldface Mountain trailhead from Indian Lake is a unique way to spend a day in the Adirondacks as it combines a day out on the water with a hike. The journey begins by renting a boat, kayak, or paddleboard at the marina. From there, our experienced staff will guide you on where to paddle or boat to reach the trailhead, located on the eastern shore of the lake in Norman’s Cove.

The hike takes about 1 – 1.5 hours round trip and offers beautiful views overlooking Indian Lake and the surrounding wilderness of the Adirondack Mountains. To extend the day, enjoy a picnic at one of the picnic areas in Norman’s Cove, go for a swim to cool off or continue your boating explorations around the lake.

About Indian Lake

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia.
